Xiaomi’s first clamshell foldable has been leaked. Their rivals have reason to worry

two days Xiaomi will present its two new folding phones in China on the 19th, and one of them will speak volumes. Over the years, Xiaomi has introduced the Mix Fold, an alternative to rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. These foldables, however, usually have a starting price that acts as a significant entry barrier when betting on them.

This is something that usually doesn’t happen as much with folding clamshells, which cost the same or less than traditional high-end ones. Xiaomi will finally bet on this concept and the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be the first.

Design of Xiaomi Mix Flip It’s not a secret anymore. This phone will follow the visual pattern we’ve seen in rivals like Motorola: the external screen will cover the entire surface with two holes for the rear camera. It’s a spectacular move that we first saw at Motorola, and one that, for some reason, Samsung still doesn’t want to make.

The phone will come from Leica, so the photography department is expected to be one of its priorities. Since flip types, due to their size limitations, usually don’t flash on camera, this is good news.

On the specs level, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 4,780 mAh battery (much bigger than its rivals), a vapor chamber and 12 and 16 GB of RAM are expected.

According to the rumours, the phone is expected to arrive in Spain. Nevertheless, at the moment we only know that it will be presented in China on July 19, along with Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi Redmi K70 Ultra and some wearables.
